共五集的迷你劇集《味盡緣》講述了一位年輕廚師和一名餓魂之間的凄美愛情故事。此劇也是首部以中元節為主軸的故事，番茄劇情結合跨東南亞文化的中元節與 1970 年的新加坡黑幫並融合了浪漫，番茄戲劇和幻想的元素。根據中國古代的信仰， 孤魂野鬼會在中元節（農曆七月）鬼門開時回到人間，享用人們的供祭。人們會供奉 食物、飲料、金錢、不同形式的娛樂，以安撫這些鬼魂。
